Unit for Continuing Education

GENERAL:

  • All short courses are quality assured.
  • Delivered by expert academics in using cutting edge techniques and facilities.
  • Most courses have an assessment component and successful completion entitles the learner to an unique official NMMU record which may be used as proof of performance

ADMISSION GUIDELINES:

Each course has its own unique entry requirements ranging from prior learning, matric or tertiary qualification.

CERTIFICATES:

Students who successfully complete the short course will be issued with an official NMMU short course certificate.

COURSE FEE:

All course fee must be paid in advance.

CANCELLATION:

Course fees are not refundable unless cancellation has been made at least seven days before the start of course.  A 30% administration fee is then levied for cancellations.  Should the course be fully booked or cancelled by the NMMU, a full refund of fees will be made.

NB: NMMU reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses if numbers are not sufficient.

COURSE TIMES:

Short Courses are usually presented in the evenings from 17:30.  Some courses are presented during the day and on Saturday mornings.

In-house courses are offered by arrangement.

ACADEMIC REGULATIONS:

Academic regulations apply to all credit bearing course that run as short courses.  Copies of these regulations are available from Academic Administration at 041 504 3536.
