About this course

The Minute Writing SLP provides you with an all-in-one solution to equip you with needed skills, knowledge and proficiencies for attending meetings as a complete professional and expert.

This course will teach you effective writing skills and techniques for the writing and drafting of: meeting notices, agendas and minutes.

Furthermore, it aims to develop your interpersonal communication and listening skills. Know exactly what you should be listening out for when attending meetings.

The Minute Writing SLP will also teaches you meeting protocol, terminology and how to take notes in general.

Whether you are the official 'minute-taker', attendee or chairing the meeting, this course will equip you with expert knowledge and skills to fulfill your role more adequately in your next meeting.

  • understand and apply meeting terminology;
  • understand the duties of the secretary and chairperson;
  • evaluate what constitutes effective minutes; and,
  • apply appropriate formats and writing styles in notice of meeting agenda and minutes.
